Please contact us before sending a legal notice
In the event of domain, competition, copyright, trademark, or other legal issues, please contact us in advance. We will promptly remedy any justified complaints. The involvement of legal counsel is not necessary for this purpose. We will reject the costs of a formal cease-and-desist letter sent without prior contact and may file a counterclaim for breach of the duty to mitigate damages.
Content Liability
The contents of our pages have been created with the greatest care. As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content under the general laws. However, we make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the content and provide the information without any guarantees or representations, express or implied.
Links Liability
Our offer contains links to external third-party websites over whose contents we have no control. Therefore, we cannot assume any liability for these external contents. The respective provider or operator of the pages is always responsible for the contents of the linked pages. The linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; unlawful contents were not recognizable at that time. A permanent control of the contents of the linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of a violation. Upon notification of violations, we will remove such links immediately.
Copyright
The contents and works on these pages are subject to German copyright law. Reproduction, editing, distribution, and any kind of exploitation outside the limits of copyright require our written consent. Downloads and copies of this site are permitted for private, non‑commercial use only. Insofar as the content on this site was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected. Should you nevertheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please inform us accordingly. Upon notification of violations, we will remove such content without delay.
Objection to Unsolicited Advertising
We hereby object to the use of the contact data published within the scope of the imprint obligation for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information materials. We explicitly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, such as spam emails.
Notice pursuant to EU Regulation 2023/988 (GPSR)
All of our publications are exclusively published and distributed worldwide via Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), including both digital editions (e-books) and physical editions (paperbacks). Amazon acts as the sole manufacturer and distributor within the meaning of the General Product Safety Regulation. Accordingly, any product safety complaints, accident reports, or issues concerning the distribution and handling of our publications must be addressed directly to Amazon through its official customer service channels.

Privacy Notice
This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data on this website. We take your privacy seriously and handle your data confidentially and in accordance with this policy and applicable law (EU General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).
1) Scope and Summary
- You can use this website without creating an account. We do not offer user registration, article comments, or a newsletter.
- We process only the data that is technically necessary to deliver the site, respond to your inquiries, and improve the website.
- We do not share data with third parties unless there is a legal basis (e.g., processors under Art. 28 GDPR) or a statutory obligation.
2) Legal Bases
Depending on the situation, we rely on the following GDPR legal bases:
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests (e.g., secure operation of the website, web analytics without cookies, responding to inquiries).
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – your consent (e.g., when you choose to email us with information).
- Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR – compliance with legal obligations (e.g., retention under commercial/tax law).
3) Personal Data We Process
3.1 Email Communication
If you contact us voluntarily via our mail address we process the content of your message and any attachments in order to handle your inquiry. Email transmission on the Internet can have security gaps. If you wish to send sensitive information, please use postal mail.
Retention: We retain correspondence only as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and in accordance with statutory retention duties. Unless longer retention is required by law, we delete email correspondence no later than 1 year after the purpose has ceased.
We quote anonymously from your feedback on our books. We use the excerpts as “Reader Opinions” on our website.
3.2 Social Media Presences
We maintain online presences on various social networks (see the list in the Legal Notice). When we run ads or polls there, we do not request personal data beyond what is necessary. Platform providers may technically be able to combine any information we collect with other data they hold. Please also review the terms and privacy policies of the respective platforms, which we do not control.
We may quote your public comments about our books (e.g., from polls about literary topics) in anonymized form on our website. We remove or adjust such quotations upon request.
4) Hosting, Server Log Files, and Security
Our web host (located in Germany) processes data on our behalf in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. Hosting services include infrastructure, platform services, computing capacity, storage, databases, email delivery, security, and technical maintenance required to operate this website.
Server log files (processed under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests in security and error diagnosis) may include:
- hostname and IP address of the accessing device
- browser type and version
- operating system
- requested URL and referrer URL
- date and time of access
- amount of data transferred
Our host currently retains these logs for up to 30 days for threat prevention, after which they are deleted. We cannot attribute the technical data in server logs to specific individuals without additional data sources. We do not combine these logs with other datasets. If concrete indications of unlawful use become known, we may review the logs retrospectively.
Security measures (Art. 32 GDPR): We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data—for example, TLS/SSL encryption, strong passwords, access controls, and restricted administrative access.
5) Website Analytics (Self‑Hosted, No Cookies)
This website uses a locally hosted analytics tool (e.g., Matomo) to collect anonymous usage data. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests) to optimize our pages for a good user experience. No tracking cookies are set. The following data may be processed:

- local time
- files clicked and downloads
- outbound links
- page load time
- browser’s primary language
- browser user agent
No data is shared with third parties. Data is stored on our server and retained only as long as necessary for analysis and improvement.
Opt‑out: You can opt out of analysis. Disabling analytics protects your privacy but also prevents us from learning from visits to improve the site.
You may choose to prevent this website from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take here. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the owner from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
6) Cookies
Our website uses a functional session cookie (e.g., PHPSESSID) that is technically necessary to provide essential site functions. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in proper website operation). Session cookies do not track you across other websites and expire when you close your browser. Consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies.
We do not use third‑party marketing or profiling cookies.
7) Data Recipients and Transfers
- We only disclose personal data to third parties if we are legally permitted or obliged to do so.
- We use carefully selected processors (Art. 28 GDPR), such as our German web host, bound by data‑processing agreements.
- We do not routinely transfer personal data to countries outside the EU/EEA. If such a transfer becomes necessary in the future, we will ensure adequate safeguards (e.g., EU Standard Contractual Clauses or EU‑U.S. Data Privacy Framework‑certified providers) and inform you accordingly.
8) Your Rights
You have the following rights under the GDPR (subject to statutory conditions):
- Access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18)

To exercise your rights, please contact us.
9) Data Retention
Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this policy, we store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention periods. When the purpose no longer applies and no legal obligations require longer storage, we delete personal data no later than 1 year after the purpose ends.
